I was honoured to be asked to contribute a chapter in D Wood’s Craft is Political recently released/published by Bloomsbury Press. I chose to write about the work of three Canadian mixed-race ceramic artists of colour, Liminality: The Work of Monica Mercedes Martinez, PJ Anderson and Habiba El-Sayed.
This 16-chapter book offers a global and multi-disciplinary perspective of the intersection of craft and politics. Contributors: Fernando A. Romero, Lisa Binkley, Alanna Cant, Seema Goel, Geoffrey Gowlland, Cigdem Kaya, Anna Kouhia, Leopold Kowolik, Lurdes Macedo, Shahirah Majumdar, Verity Marques, FIona P.
