The trouble with mud….

  • I’ve been having a lot of trouble settling on a clay body.  The Sheba raku clay, which I thought would be my main project clay, is proving to be too brittle and crumbling virtually upon touch when dry. I am going to try one last ditch effort to wedge in some nylon fibre to see if I can throw, trim and get the raku clay to work.  The 06 high talc from PSH is NOT what I want to use.  Going to try some Tuckers low-fire white, grog, no-grog, fibre, no fibre… the search continues.
