Seat of the Soul

• Gord and I talked about the spherical objects, that I am introducing as the “seal of the soul” as possibly transient or variable.  I like that idea – the fact that they could nestle in different places and don’t necessarily have to be centrally located in the sculpture.  This adds another dimension to the individuality of each piece.

  My task this week is to try building smaller scale, bisque fire – then see how the pieces come together before I try to solve the technical issues of how to “bind” the pieces together and get the work to “float” vertically.
